1. Values In Action – Service Learning

- To inculcate social cultural sensitivity by relating to others from different socio-cultural groups in a sensitive way, through words and actions.

- Students to understand the uniqueness of the people from different socio-cultural groups – in terms of culture, beliefs and etiquette. 

- To enable students to reflect on how their contributions through Service Learning Activity/Project has benefited the environment and the lives of others.

- Students to demonstrate the School Values and Characteristics of Righteousness by being socially conscious.

Advanced Elective Modules (AEM)

Our Secondary Three Express students embarked on AEM course at various polytechnics from 23 October to 27 October 2017. They were exposed to the following courses: Electronic Product Design, Digital Integrated Circuit Technology, Mobile Devices and Applications, Animate IT, Game Design and Programming, Environmental Technologies, Appreciating 3D Printing with Mechatronics and Mobile Media and Entertainment Production.

These AEM experiences helped our students to gain more awareness of the multitude of courses in the various polytechnics, and provided glimpse of the rigour of being a tertiary students. The polytechnics’ course were well-aligned to industries in Singapore, hence our students has a chance to experience the demands of various jobs in these industries.

Elective Module (EM)

Our secondary Three Normal students attended the EM programme as part of their post examinations activities in Semester 1 and semester 2. The EMs which were offered to students included Hospitality, Aeronautics, Culinary, E-commerce, Robotics and Broadcast Journalism. This programme helps to broaden our students’ learning experiences and cater to their varied learning needs and styles. EMs also provides students with the opportunity in skills-training and expose them to possible post-secondary education options.
